Living in an eco-friendly way is not as easy as it sounds. Most decisions we make involve making a choice about the extent to which we are willing to impact the environment. Whether we are choosing what products to buy, how to get to work, or how to spend our free time, all of these things requires a choice, and there is always one choice better than the next for the eco-conscious. Here are some tips on how to stay eco-friendly with diet and nutrition.

1. Eat local: Eat foods that are local. Try to get as many of your produce from within a 75-mile radius of where you shop.

2. Eat fresh: Try to eat food that are not made in a factory.

3. Eat organic: Organic encourages more sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices.

4. Limit packaged foods: Look for alternatives when you pick up a product wrapped in layer of plastic and cardboard. Think if you can substitute that product with something fresh.

5. Grow your own: This may seem like a lot of work, but it’s not. Even a small garden and growing one or two items can make a difference.
